WELCOME TO THE YOUTH IN ACTION PROGRAMME

The Youth in Action Programme is the successor of the YOUTH Programme for the period between 2007 - 2013. The Youth in Action Programme is a unique opportunity for you to gain an exhilarating international experience through interesting projects.  The aim of the National Agency is to help and support you achieve this opportunity. We believe that bringing young people together from diverse cultures serves them to learn about each other and allows them to express openly their hitherto hidden capabilities.

The European project is still in process of development and the creation of a better Europe depends on the commitment, ambition and enthusiasm from young people. Europe entails both diversities and the similarities and 'Youth in Action' celebrates these two aspects. The Programme gives you the opportunity to express and promote your local diversities whilst discovering the similarities of fellow young people around Europe and beyond.

The 'Youth in Action' Programme can help you broaden your horizons, develop a sense of initiative and take an active part in the construction of Europe of the third millennium through local projects or abroad. It allows young people to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies outside formal education and training structures in order to promote the young people’s personal development and their active participation as responsible citizens.

So come along and discover the refreshing, colourful world of the 'Youth in Action' Programme!
